These sticks are made of superior 7075 aluminum which is lighter and more durable than the more common 6061 aluminum. As you can see in the photograph, these poles are fairly compact as they telescope in two sections. Some people prefer a less compact pole of two sections (instead of 3 or) in return for extra stability. The anti-shock mechanism reduces knee strain - and it can be turned on or off according to preference. The telescoping system makes it easy for fast and accurate sizing. Each pole includes a rubber tip, a removable trekking(mud/snow) basket, and a superior tungsten tip. You will enjoy the nordic style wrist support straps especially when traversing difficult terrain and the cork grips absorb sweat and provide comfort. The straps are very simple to use as they are secured with velcro. The poles are lightweight (only 11.7 ounces each!) making them convenient for your next hiking/camping excursion.
