The result was a production knife that has the smoothest Rolox action ever, with an entirely new look, and a price that put it in any pocket or purse. Allen improved the blade shape, handle design, and added a custom stainless steel clip. To show how this sliding "folder" works, the polycarbonate scales with an engine turned pattern are translucent. It was renamed it the Rollock to complete the transformation. This model has a blade notch that allows easy one-hand closing. But the visual appeal is only part of the story. The trick is to achieve such tight manufacturing tolerances that opening and closing action is both smooth and sound.
